The weekly big lunch

A group of my uni friends have been organising their so called "weekly big lunch" for at least a month or so now. The "weekly big lunch" is the day where they pick a place to pig out! I've heard it's something along those lines about eating a big family feast from KFC and then to Maccus for a Sundae.

Today, the selected spot for the weekly big lunch was Yum Cha at Bondi Junction. I was the lucky guest of the week to join them(Aidan, Michael, Brian and Sam).
I got in the car, the conversation was purely "boys talk". Got me thinking, yeah i used to hang out with these guys and it has always been like that,it felt like i havent hang out with these people for a long time that i was getting not used to the conversation. Heh...
None of them were really looking forward to it except for 3 of us. One was just really obssesed with KFC while one other person was just "yeah...whatever".

We got to Westfield at 1-ish. Went up to lvl 6..."Ahh! There it is!! Whao shit! it looks Aussie-fied". The diners were mostly well-dressed, middle-aged australians with friends and family.We seem to be the only uni students there. Unlike the yum cha places in China Town,packed with old folks, chinese family, youngsters...
First thing that popped on my mind was "This place is too grand! i wouldn't go to a place like this on a Wednesday for lunch".

So we took our seats, 5 of us sitting in really big comfortable chairs, started our first round. Me and Sam stopped after the 2nd round, and 3 of them just kept going like they were deprived of food. Two more "har gow", two more "siew mai", two more "dan tart"...and they call it quits.

The bill came up to $25 per person. Well i wasn't surprised. I guess the service was allright, at least it wasn't the usual people pushing the trolley with bad attitude, the food was allright as well but just abit overpriced. Don't think i'd ever go back for yum cha though :P

A get-together dinner

Met up with two of my old time college friends, Szi and Carol, on Thursday.
Not only met up but stayed over at Szi's. A girl's night! Why not?

Initially, we were thinking of just cooking dinner. But i came up with the "staying over" idea since i have to go home late, get up early, go to work... Why not stay over? :D

Dinner was good.Dough, dough, dough all the way. Entree and Main were very western, we had Cheese stick(by Szi) and also Chicken and mushroom pie(by Carol).
As for dessert, glutonous rice ball with peanut and white sesame filling(from Thai Khee super market), typical chinese dessert but was good too. ^_^ I helped...clean up the dishes :P
It was interesting to see two of the chefs cook. I've learnt to cook yet another few more dishes.

The Quick and the Dead

O_O Woke up at 4am , started blowing my nose. Had a look at my tissue, Ah! Blood! My nose is bleeding!I was thinking to myself... "What the hell? i'm going to die?" Then again, may be the weather's too dry.

Tried going back to bed but couldn't. Well the room was dark and cold, except for the moonlight shining through my window between the curtains. All i could hear was the little clock next to my bed.

Tik tok tik tok...gradually i fell asleep...
The alarm rang at 6:30am, but i couldn't get up. Got up at 7am instead :P

It's good that i'm starting to get used to the working hours. Usually, i get really tired after work, and can't be bothered going online. Today surprisingly, i made myself dinner and i'm even chatting on msn right now!

Here it goes...

Chengy: Haha,I'm not out of a relationship yet. I can't just jump into another one. My legs are
not long enough. LOL

Alien: Oh ur legs will be stuck for a long while yet.

Chengy: I think the ship that im in now is gonna get sucked in by quicksand.
"She's struggling, screaming for help,yet there's nothing she can do about it
, nobody's there to help...she's all on her own.." Sad but true.

Alien: And jus when she thought all was lost, when her nostrils filled with sand, suffocating her....
Along came a friend, galloping down towards her...

Chengy: "he reached out his hand"

Alien:"reached out with his hand, pulled her from her doom."

Chengy:"Hahaha...same line again!"

Alien: Hehe, as he pulled her he said 'AIYA! shit! chengy's too fat!'
and he was pulled off his gallant steed into the devouring sand,
and together they drowned in sunken grief.

Chengy: -The End-

Alien: Awww....

Wonder what aidan's version would be like in his blog since he said " i was gonna add some more things, u know, spice it up, make it a bit more exciting".
